James started making electronic music in the mid-2000s, playing a few gigs and releasing a handful of tracks. It wasn’t until 2015 that he really got going, with the release of his Ball & Chain EP on Null+Void which gained support from some key figures in the UK electro scene. Since then he’s explored the more melodic side of braindance, electro, breakbeat and rave with the self-released Orbit EP and 2 EPs on Madrid’s Analogical Force.
At the end of 2018 he released his well-received debut album Vital Heat which saw him move away from the dancefloor and broaden his musical range in a number of directions, from laid back piano pieces to frenetic breakbeat workouts. 2019 will see him working on more dancefloor oriented music, with upcoming releases on some respected UK labels, and acid-tinged live sets around the UK and Europe.
